ROBERTO FERRARI NOW WINS GIRO SPRINT
Roberto Ferrari has on Wednesday won the eleventh stage of the Giro d'Italia. Where the Italian of Androni Giocattoli in the third stage caused a heavy fall in the final, he now took advantage of one.
Mark Cavendish (Sky) did not go down because of the crash, but gave away space he wasn’t able to grab back. Ferrari saw his compatriot Francesco Chicchi (Omega Pharma QuickStep) finish second. Lithuanian Tomas Vaitkus (Orica-GreenEdge) came in third.

Peter Sagan has on Tuesday scored a hattrick in the Amgen Tour of California. The Slovak of Liquigas-Cannondale won, after winning the first two stages, also the third stage. For the third time in three stage he knocked down Heinrich Hausseler (Garmin Barracuda) in a bunch sprint.

BOONEN NOT TO TOUR DE FRANCE
Tom Boonen will not come to the Tour de France this year. The Belgian of Omega Pharma-QuickStep wants to prepare himself for the Olympics by participating in the Tour of Poland.
