| What is the function of a Non Turn Washer? |

Non Turn Washers are assembled on the axle ends of a Hub with internal gears.
In certain gear combinations, the axle in the hub gear has a tendency to turn in the frame due to a reaction force of the internal mechanism.
On the 3- and 8speed coaster brake hubs, the braking force also causes a reaction force on the axle.
The axle can be prevented from turning by assembling the axle nuts with the correct tightening torque and mounting non-turn washers.
