| Is it possible to remove the plug from the Mono-body calliper? |

Often we are asked if the plug in the BR-M975, -M775 and -M800 Mono-body calliper can be removed and if we have a special tool for this available.
However it is not possible to remove this plug.
Why is that plug there?
From this side, both cyclinders are machined during manufacturing of the Mono-body (one piece) calliper. After that, the cyclinder is closed with this plug.
The single forged Mono-body construction features an optimum stiffness-to-weight ratio.
