Does Shimano have any options?
I use the SPD system, but do not feel comfortable when turning the foot outwards to release the foot from the pedal. Does Shimano have a solution for this?
Yes, we have:
For MTB type pedals we offer three types of cleats, the SM-SH50 / 51 and the SM-SH55.
The SM-SH50 /51 are both single release cleats. This means that you can only release your foot from the pedal by turning the foot outwards or inwards. These cleats both have a black anodised finish.
The SM-SH55 is a multi release cleat. This means that you cannot only release your foot from the pedal by turning it out- or inwards, but also by pulling it upwards. The SM-SH55 has a silver finish.
The SM-SH50 or 51 (only for PD-M858) are standard supplied with the MTB pedals, the SM-SH55 can be purchased as an option. |
